Canvas Notifies and Communicates with Students - A Lot!

Canvas will automatically notify students when a change is made to their grade for a course, whether that's adding a grade or updating it. Be sure to "mute" a column in the gradebook if you don't want information released until the assignment is graded for the entire class.

Notifications will be posted on a student's Activity Stream (a student's Canvas Dashboard) and based on the preferences each student has elected to have Canvas use for notifications.
